A social accountable model for Iranian dentistry sciences education system: a qualitative study

Introduction Social accountability is a new paradigm in dental education and sort of cultural change. This study an attempt to elaborate on the process social Iranian dentistry system. Materials methods was carried out as qualitative work based grounded theory approach. The participants were selected through purposive sampling took part deep semi-structured interviews, data saturation achieved with 14 interviews. main interviews private, face-to-face held different occasions (morning afternoon) quiet decent environment. by author voice-recorded permission interviewees. Data analyses performed Strauss–Corbin method along Results results indicated that featured three stages: antecedents, mechanisms, outcomes consisting 619 codes, 16 subcategories, 7 categories. Updating curriculum, qualified students, appropriate educational environment, technology, monitoring feedback throughout activities, proper interaction society, society's needs categories study. concept society core variable. Conclusion has major effective requirements antecedent, mechanism, outcome stages, it good performance fulfilling current for services. However, meet potential needs, special attention programming.
